Fall Move-in

Nearly 1,000 volunteers are looking forward to moving our new freshmen into the halls on Friday, August 18. Your student’s boxes should be labeled with their name and room number so we can efficiently get their belongings to the room. Returning students can move in Saturday, August 19th through Monday, August 21st.

In the coming days, your student will receive information about their room assignment and move-in time via their e-mail address (if they have not already).  If a student cannot move in during that time, they may move in any time AFTER your scheduled date and time.  However, all residents must arrive and check into their room assignments before Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 6pm to avoid forfeiture of their residential space on campus.  If a student is unable to move in within these parameters, please contact Alicia Vest to develop an early arrival plan that will work.  No requests for special/early move-in times will be reviewed and no decisions made prior to July 15, 2017.

Learn more about where your student will live

Once your student receives their housing assignment, they can begin learning more about their residence hall and the amenities it has! Simply visit our “Residence Halls” section of our website.

Students can also visit us on Facebook @asuhousing where we have been creating live video virtual tours of each hall throughout the summer. We will be continuing visits to our halls through the end of July, so if your hall has not been featured, fear not! We will have a video for every hall! On July 17th, we will also have a Live Q&A on our Facebook page from 4pm-6pm so tune in and get your questions answered live by our staff!

No fridge in your student’s room? Rent one!

For our residence halls that do not provide* a refrigerator in the room, we have partnered with a rental service through Standards for Living where students can rent their fridge for the year. The MicroFridge® will be delivered to their room prior to August 12th move-in (if the order is placed before August 7th) and will be picked up by the company after the student moves out in May. The cost of renting a MicroFridge® for the academic year is $170.79 which includes sales tax. Only ONE refrigerator and microwave are allowed per room, so your student will need to communicate with their roommate before ordering.

* Residence halls that do not provide refrigerators include: Mountaineer Hall, the LLC, Belk Hall, Newland Hall, Frank Hall, Summit Hall, Lovill Hall, Doughton Hall, Cone Hall, Cannon Hall, and Hoey Hall. These halls are eligible for MicroFridge® rentals.
